FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you might want to know before engaging a private investigator in Singapore.
Is hiring a private investigator legal in Singapore?+
Yes. Private investigation is regulated under the Private Security Industry Act. BSPI operates under a valid SPF / PIA licence and only uses lawful methods.
Will my case be kept confidential?+
Yes. All enquiries, case files, and findings are strictly confidential and disclosed only to the engaging client.
What does BSPI not do?+
We do not engage in phone hacking, account access, spyware, wiretapping, trespass, or anything that breaches Singapore law. We will tell you clearly if a request falls outside lawful scope.
Can your reports be used in court?+
We produce timestamped, evidence-based reports that lawyers commonly rely on in matrimonial and civil matters. Admissibility ultimately depends on the court and case.
How long does a typical case take?+
Most matters fit within our 20, 50, or 80-hour packages. We'll recommend the right tier in your consultation.
How are fees structured?+
We use transparent package pricing — S$3,600 (20 hrs), S$8,000 (50 hrs), or S$11,200 (80 hrs). No hidden charges.
What happens after I make a booking?+
You'll receive a confirmation, and our team will reach out within hours (often immediately) to confirm scope and arrange the consultation.
Do you offer refunds?+
Yes — please see our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Refund eligibility depends on whether investigation work has commenced.
Are you available outside office hours?+
Yes. BSPI is contactable 24/7, 365 days a year.
Where is BSPI located?+
Our office is at 1 North Bridge Road, High Street Centre, Singapore 179094. We operate across Singapore.
